Founder & Developer

EE · Embedded · iOS

Electrical engineer turned indie iOS developer. Studied at Dankook University's School of Electronics and Electrical Engineering, where I built everything from formula cars and fire suppression systems to AI-powered turrets. Now I channel that same hands-on energy into crafting apps at Glanz Studio — small, well-made ideas that make someone's day a little brighter.

Our Story

Glanz means "shine" in German.

We believe small ideas can brighten someone's day. Rather than grand visions, we chase fun ideas — building things we wish existed.

Every app is crafted to bring a little more light into your daily life.

Things I've Built

AI Turret Mar 2023 — Dec 2023

Capstone Design

AI Turret 1
AI Turret 2
AI Turret 3
AI Turret 4
AI Turret 5

An AI-powered turret system that detects, tracks, and fires at targets in real time. YOLOv5 runs on Apple M1 for object recognition, while the turret hardware is controlled by ESP32 through UART serial communication.

Servo motors move to bounding box coordinates for precise tracking. Stabilizer system compensates for recoil. All mechanical parts 3D-printed and self-assembled.

Light Meter for Film Camera Sep 2022 — Dec 2022

Personal Project

Light Meter 1
Light Meter 2

A handheld light meter with anti-shake device designed for analog film cameras. Measures ambient light and calculates exposure values based on E.V and Lux.

ESP32 as MCU. All hardware components — PCB layout, enclosure, sensor mounting — personally designed and 3D-printed.

Cortex-M0 SoC Robot Sep 2022 — Dec 2022

SoC Design Course

Cortex-M0 SoC Robot

Designed a System-on-Chip in Verilog using APB bus architecture and custom IPs on the Basys-3 FPGA board. The SoC controls a mini robot through PMOD UART communication with ESP32.

Exercise Feedback Service Dec 2021 — Apr 2022

Personal Project

Exercise Feedback 1
Exercise Feedback 2
Exercise Feedback 3

A wearable service using IMU sensors to collect and analyze gyro data during workouts. Identifies exercise patterns, measures rep speed, and delivers real-time corrective feedback.

IMU Gyro Sensor Data Analysis
Auto Fire Extinguisher Mar 2021 — Nov 2021

Creative Convergence Project

Fire Extinguisher 1
Fire Extinguisher 2

An automatic fire suppression and alarm device for residential facilities lacking fire protection. Detects flames and gas leaks, then activates suppression mechanisms autonomously.

All hardware designed from scratch. Moving average filter applied for stable sensor readings. Two iterations developed (Ver.1 & Ver.2).

KSAE Formula 650 Mar 2018 — Aug 2018

Team BBB

KSAE Formula 650

Built a formula-style race car powered by a 650cc engine for the KSAE university competition. Responsible for reconfiguring engine wiring, implementing electronic equipment and sensors.

Designed an electronic steering system using an absolute encoder. Handled full electrical integration of the vehicle.
